Just a stone’s throw away from Rochester Castle and Rochester Cathedral is The Vines of Rochester. Formerly The Old Archdeaconry, we have lovingly restored and improved this magnificent building to create a magical venue.
For those staying at the vines, each one of our guest rooms has a unique look and feel, inspiring rest and relaxation. From copper baths or views of the Cathedral, to quirky passageways that reveal hidden rooms, each suite has its own personality – all individually-designed with handpicked furnishings, textiles and fine linens - to ensure you and your guests stay is as comfortable as it is unforgettable.

Within the property, there are many areas for you and your guests to enjoy inside and out. With a well manicured garden your guests have plenty of space to roam. The beautifully designed 12 bedrooms will wow and inspire your guests during their stay.
We have a Nordic style ‘Tipi’ installed in the garden, this brilliant addition is the location for our wedding ceremonies. A fantastic & atmospheric location.
We offer two very different ways to celebrate your special day, a ‘festival’ style wedding day and a more traditional day with a wedding breakfast.
